On Thursday, December 5, 2019, World Pediatric Project presents Transforming Children’s Healthcare: A Global Perspective, featuring international and local pediatric specialists discussing the future of global pediatric healthcare.

Recent study data reveals the enormous scope of the problem: 9 out of 10 children in low-resource countries lack access to basic surgical care claiming 5 times more lives than HIV/AIDS, TB and malaria combined!

As the global health community turns its attention to the enormous opportunity to improve children’s healthcare through effective surgical access, World Pediatric Project is being called upon as a vital leader with more than 18 years of frontline experience, outcomes and data to inform global health care policies and approaches.

Keynote speaker Dr. Sanjeev Dutta from Silicon Valley will discuss the reasons behind this gap in surgical care and realities of effectively addressing this need. His experience spans the medical, financial and innovational realms of addressing pediatric global health needs, and as such offers insights into solutions for the future. Dr. Dutta is joined by Dr. David Lanning, WPP Medical Director, and Dr. Donna Brown, WPP Charter Physician, for a panel discussion.

World Pediatric Project is a Richmond organization that in almost two decades has helped more than 27,000 children with access to specialized diagnostic and surgical care.

Please join us at this important event as we discuss ways to reach and heal more children, sooner.
